What about me?

Today, Joe helps people who know they’re capable of more break through what’s holding them back, build a clear game plan, and start living their own version of an Epic Life.

People often ask:

"Are you a Mental Health Counselor, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Therapist, Teacher, Trainer, or Life Coach?"

The answer is no.

Joe is none of those things.

So who is he?

Joe is a guide, accountability partner, perspective shifter, and fellow traveler who helps people gain awareness of where they are, identify what's holding them back, and create a practical path forward.

His approach isn't to tell you what to do, what to think, or who you should become. Instead, he asks the questions that help unlock the answers already within you.

He's not your personal guru.

He's simply a guy who has spent years exploring what it means to live an Epic life and who enjoys helping others discover their own path. Sometimes all it takes is a different perspective, an honest conversation, and a little accountability to reveal what's been there all along.

Joe helps people align their actions with their values, their mindset with their goals, and their daily choices with the life they want to create.

The goal isn't perfection, it’s progress in the right direction!

Who Is Joe Takacs?

Joe Takacs is the creator of Make Life Epic—a movement built on attitude, gratitude, and intentional action. A lifelong drummer and heavy metal enthusiast, Joe learned early that rhythm, discipline, and consistency aren't just for music—they're the foundation for building a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Through years of personal growth, professional leadership, and helping others develop their potential, Joe has defined what "Epic" means for himself and transformed it into a practical framework for growth. His philosophy is simple: when you align your mindset, energy, and daily actions with purpose, extraordinary things become possible.

One of the questions I get asked most often is:

"Why do you use skulls and skeletons for Make Life Epic?"

My answer is always the same.

Heavy metal music has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. It's more than music to me—it's been the soundtrack to my journey, the fuel behind my determination, and a constant source of energy, inspiration, and resilience.

The skulls and skeletons you see throughout Make Life Epic aren't about fear, darkness, or negativity. They represent awakening, transformation, and the realization that life is precious and limited. They remind us that our time here is not infinite and that every day is an opportunity to become more of who we're meant to be.

The imagery, energy, and passion of heavy metal have always fueled my fire. They represent strength, perseverance, individuality, and the courage to keep moving forward when life gets difficult. Those values are at the heart of what Make Life Epic is all about.

While Make Life Epic was inspired by my love of heavy metal, you don't have to be a metal fan for us to work together. People from all walks of life are welcome here.

What's important is understanding who I am, what inspires me, and the experiences that have shaped my journey. The more authentic I can be about who I am, the better I can help you discover who you are, who you want to become, and how to build a life that reflects your true potential.

Because at the end of the day, Make Life Epic isn't about skulls, skeletons, or heavy metal.

It's about helping you awaken what's within, discover your purpose, and build the life you were meant to live.

One choice. One action. One brick at a time.
